THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, June 23

INSPAN Infotech Pvt Ltd, the Chennai-headquartered distributor of computer-related hardware products, is looking at establishing an all-India presence within a year.

The company, which is little over a year old, is currently present in the four Southern States and is working on consolidating its presence in these markets.

Mr Sudhir S., Managing Director, told Business Line that the company would organise a series of trade shows in all the major South Indian cities as part of this process of consolidation.

Branded `Blitz', these events are targeted at the company's dealers and will also include presentations by some of Inspan's major suppliers such as AMD and Mercury.

As the first step in this initiative, the company has organised an event in Thiruvananthapuram.

It will also conduct similar events for dealers in Madurai and Vishakapatanam over the next fortnight.

These trade shows will be a monthly feature for the company, he said.The company distributes Seagate hard disks, AMD motherboards and processors and the Mitsumi brand of floppy disk drives.

Besides, it distributes an entire range of products manufactured by Mercury, according to Mr Sudhir.

Lifestyle products such as digital cameras are becoming a fast-moving product for the company, he added.

It is also in the process of adding to its product line, he said, but refused to disclose details.

The company clocked a turnover of Rs 50 crore for 2002-03, its first full year of operations. It is looking at a 100 per cent growth in the current fiscal, Mr Sudhir said.
