UTI launches 5 ATMs

Our Bureau

KOTTAYAM: In line with the current focus on expanding its reach and services to the Gulf-oriented NRI regions in the State, the UTI Bank has launched five new ATMs in the Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts in Kerala.

The strategy is to develop NRI business with a proposal to set up a representative office in the UAE besides existing arrangements with reputed exchange houses in the Middle East to ensure speedy electronic transfers of remittances made from West Asia.

The five ATMs are at Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Kumbanad, Mallappally and Kozhencherry. Based on the success of the project the bank intended to take up similar projects in remote locations with all the facilities thus harnessing the efficacy of the centralised banking system, said Mr S. Chatterjee, Executive Director, UTI Bank.
