Karnataka Bank Chairman gets another term

Mangalore , July 17

THE tenure of the Karnataka Bank Chairman, Mr Ananthakrishna, has been extended for a further period of three years, according to a press release from the bank.

During his first tenure, the bank registered a turnover of Rs 12,000 crore, and the net profit touched Rs 110 crore. The number of branches also went up to 360, of which 140 have been networked, the press release said. The bank also entered the era of online ATMs.
