HYDERABAD: South Asia International Institute, a member of the Sylvan International Universities (SIU) Network, on Friday launched its Engineering programmes with a batch of 55 students drawn from eight States in the country.

According to Prof Juan Salcedo, International Rector of SIU, and Dr K.A. Padmanabhan, Vice-Chancellor of the Institute, said classes for the first batch would begin on August 11. "These students have been picked from 327 applications purely basing on their performance in Class X and XII," they said.

The institute is offering courses in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, Dr Padmanabhan said.
