Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Aug. 8

ICFAI Institute of Management Teachers (IIMT), which offers a three-year management teachers' programme leading to Ph D degree, organised its second induction ceremony here on Friday.

Addressing the new batch of students at IIMT, its Principal, Dr J. Mahender Reddy, explained the concept and need of having a college to train students to become faculty members in various disciplines of management.

Of the over 700 management schools across the country producing over 50,000 MBAs each year, only a small percentage were well equipped to offer quality MBA programme. "We require high quality faculty in our management schools to train these young men and women in MBA program," Dr Reddy said.

During the three-year course, besides having free access to all the ICFAI resources, the IIMT students would earn a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 in first year, Rs 15,000 in second year and Rs 18,000 in the third year of the program.
