SSI expo in November

HYDERABAD: The Small Industries Services Institute (SISI), Hyderabad, is organising a `National industrial exhibition-cum-vendor development programme' in Visakhapatnam during November 3 and 4.

The objective of the exercise is to support industries by developing marketing linkages between Government Departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), large, medium and small-scale industries (SSI) sector.

Various departments such as the Railways, Navy, Defence PSUs, large and medium-scale industries would display their requirements for vendor development. Similarly, the SME sector would display products and technology for marketing its products to various organisations. A buyers-sellers meet and interaction session covering issues such as purchase procedure, requirements, specifications, vendor identification, developing partnerships has been lined up.

According to Mr K.L. Rao, Deputy Director, SISI, the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Federation of AP Small Industries Association (FAPSIA) and local Associations of Visakhapatnam would be jointly organising the programme.
