Globeoil India to feature futures & options

GLOBEOIL India 2003, the seventh international conference and exhibition on vegetable oil, feed & feed ingredients, oilseeds, related industries and services, will be held in Mumbai on September 21 and 22.

The event is organised by Tefla's Conferences & Events Private Ltd, in association with The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEAI) and Indian Vegetable Oil Processors' Association and supported by 20 national and international organisations.

"Globeoil India provides a neutral platform for the players in the industry drawn from different parts of the world to exchange ideas and information. This year, I expect over about 500 delegates including 100 delegates from abroad connected with vegetable industry," Mr Kailash Singh, Managing Director of the company said. Some of the leading analysts of the edible oil industry will deliver their presentations during the conference, including Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej group, Mr Raghu Mody, Chairman, Rasoi group, Mr Utpal Sen Gupta, President, Agrotech Foods, Mr Thomas Mielke, Editor in Chief, Oil World, Mr John C. Baize (USA), and Mr Dorab Mistry, Director, Godrej International Ltd.

The special international session will feature presentations by Mr John Goodwin, President, International Association of Seed Crushers (UK), Mr Marlo Lovatelli, President, ABIOVE, Mr Derom Bangun, Chairman, GAPKI and Mr Roger Gilbert, Secretary General, IFIFI.

The additional feature this year is the Concurrent Session on Futures & Options, which will address issues facing commodity trading. Presentations will be made by all the commodity exchanges in India, including the representatives of MDEX, Mr Singh said.
