Foster's beer launched

Our Bureau

KOCHI: Targeting the large number of foreign tourists visiting Kerala as well as the upmarket domestic tourists, Foster's beer has made inroads into the Kerala market.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Pradeep Gidwani, Managing Director of Foster's India Limited said, "Foster's is a leading brand in the markets of the West and a large number of foreign visitors to God's own Country would already be familiar with the product. The popularity of the product in the Gulf would also work in favour of the large number of NRIs that the State has. We have also developed a brand identity with the visitors from Maharashtra, Goa, Delhi, Punjab, Bangalore etc. which will also help to shore up our sales in the state."

The tourist sector is just for starters. The product will also be sold across the large number of Kerala State Beverages Corporation outlets in the State from this month. The product will be first sold in Kochi, later in Thiruvananthapuram, before it makes a big entry into all the major markets in the State.
