Rubber latex rises on low arrivals

THE rubber market showed a better trend on Monday. RSS 4 improved to Rs 49.75 from Friday's rate of Rs 49.25.

All other grades recorded nominal gains, while latex concentrate flared up to close at Rs 39 per kg against Rs 38 on extremely low arrivals.

Meanwhile, the rubber rates in Bangkok improved by 20 paise to close at Rs 52.33 per kg against Rs 52.13 for RSS 3.

The futures market was bullish on Monday quoting the near month November delivery at Rs 51.40 (Rs 50.60) per kg, December delivery at Rs 51.60 (Rs 50.87) and January delivery at Rs 51.75 (Rs 51) for RSS 4. The market opened better and remained in a positive mood with nominal volumes.

The physical market rates per kg on Monday were as follows: RSS 4 Rs 49.75 (Rs 49.25), RSS 5 Rs 48.50 (Rs 48.25), ungraded Rs 46.75 (Rs 46.50), ISNR 20 Rs 47.50 (Rs 47.25) and latex 60% Rs 39 (Rs 38).
