ABB bags orders worth Rs 30 crore

ABB India has bagged orders worth Rs 30 crore to provide automation solutions for steel and cement plants located in China, Morocco, Turkey and Bangladesh.

The scope of these orders encompasses design, supply, erection, commissioning and service of drives, automation systems, controls and electrics for steel and cement processing lines.

Mr Biplab Majumder, Head (Automation Technologies Division), said: "These orders further reinforce ABB India's strategic thrust on exports.

Our solutions are aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity at the above plants, thereby making our customers more competitive in an increasingly networked and globalised world." ABB provides modern automation solutions and has domain expertise in the metals and cement industry across the world.

In line with its global optimisation philosophy and the growing role of the Indian operations, ABB India has been designated as `Regional Centre of Excellence' for metals and cement across Asia in order to leverage the high calibre of technical competence, domain expertise, vast experience base and competitive manufacturing presence.
