Society & Development SBI, associates give Rs 8.1 cr to PM relief fund Our Bureau
Mumbai , Oct. 20 STATE Bank of India and its seven associates have contributed Rs 8.51 crore to the Prime Minister's National Relief fund. A cheque for the amount was recently handed over to the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee, by Mr A.K. Purwar, Chairman, State Bank of India. According to an official statement, the relief fund is used to assist people living below the poverty line and those affected by floods and drought across the country.
