Mangalore , Nov. 15 THE Singapore-based banking magazine, The Asian Banker, has ranked Corporation Bank as the second strongest bank in Asia and the strongest in India. A bank release said here on Friday that return on average assets and capital adequacy ratio were considered for analysis under the "financial parameters" on a scale of 0-5. In the `operational front', operational cost-to-income ratio and operational cost-to-assets ratio were considered for analysis. Under `asset quality' criterion, non-performing loans were analysed. Rankings based on percentage improvement in profits and assets were analysed under `improvement in profits and assets' criterion. Under the "aggregate seven-dimensional dynamic score criteria", Corporation Bank gained 30 points to be rated as the second strongest in Asia, the release added.
