Chennai port gives commitment to users

PORT users of Chennai can now expect improvement in services, including efficient, safe and timely service at optimal cost, inside the harbour.

It is a commitment given by the Chennai Port Trust (ChPT), which runs the port, to its users after getting the ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management system. Det Norske Veritas issued the certification, which is valid for various services at the port, including shipping operations, cargo handling operations and customer service, a ChPT release said.
