Hyderabad, Nov. 20 TRIBHUVANDAS Bhimji Zaveri (TBZ), a leading Mumbai-based gold and diamond jewellery house established in 1864, has launched its first Cupid store here and plans to roll out 30 such outlets across the country in the next three years targeting the `young at heart.' The Head of Marketing, Tribhuvandas Bhimji, Mr Rajiv Gupte, after commissioning its store here told Business Line that the jewellery marketing has changed dramatically over the last few years, where theme stores have begun to take centre stage with latest designs. This, coupled with more disposable income with people has opened up great scope for marketing such jewellery through exclusive outlets. TBZ had introduced the stylish lightweight Cupid range about two years ago in Mumbai and Hyderabad showrooms. Encouraged by the response, TBZ has charted out a strategy that would make Cupid products available through a chain of modern stores all over the country. This is aimed at reaching out to the large numbers of discerning delicate gold and jewellery buyers, Mr Gupta explained. "The corporate gift culture will never be the same. From earlier days of presenting household products and items, there is this trend of gifting jewellery by the corporate houses. We have managed to partner about 400 corporate houses beginning with the likes of Mahindra and Mahindra, ACC, and expect more corporate houses to take to gifting with a difference," he said. "Our market studies and understanding showed that there is growing need for trendy and yet lightweight and affordable jewellery range that can be used for all occasions by today's working women. Therefore, we decided that the best way to serve the need of all those `young at heart' would be through dedicated outlets. Currently, there are three such Cupid stores, one each in the TBZ showrooms. This is the first such outlet located in the country." Cupid presents a variety of designs in geometric shapes, florals, paisleys and an array of hearts, in the form of rings, pendants, chains and bracelets among host of other options.
