Our Correspondent

Kottayam , Nov. 21

RUBBER market showed a mixed trend on Friday. Ungraded rubber and latex improved marginally on scattered buying, while the other grades were static.

Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed at Rs 52.50, consecutively for the third day since Wednesday.

The market sustained at the quoted levels as arrivals were inadequate to put pressure on the prices, according to dealers. The international market at Bangkok weakened to Rs 57.50 from Rs 57.86 for RSS 3 on Friday.

The futures market remained rather positive with narrow gains after a weak opening. The near-month December delivery was quoted at Rs 54.50 (Rs 54.54), January at Rs 56.80 (Rs 56.14), February at Rs 58.68 (Rs 58.39), March at Rs 59.70 (Rs 59.58) and April delivery at Rs 60.35 (Rs 60.29) per kg for RSS 4.
