Kochi , Dec. 3

THE Kerala Chamber of Commerce and the United India Insurance Co Ltd (UII) have signed a memorandum of understanding here on Wednesday to ensure a pro-customer professional insurance service to the chamber members.

Under the agreement, which was signed by Mr V. Jagannathan, Chairman and Managing Director of UII, and Mr E.S. Jose, President of the Chamber, insurance products of UII would be available to the members keeping their special needs in mind, Mr Jose said.

Mr Jagannathan said that in a world where the importance of non-life insurance was multiplying for both the personal and business sectors, "the Chamber's is a bold step for the total protection of its members."
