Advertising An eventful year for Contract Advertising Purvita Chatterjee
Mumbai , Dec. 22 CONTRACT Advertising has recorded 11 per cent growth rate this year, according to its President, Mr Colvyn J. Harris. "It has been a phenomenal year for the agency. We have improved substantially in a couple of parameters especially on the creative front," he said. Bagging big accounts ranging from Asian Paints to Cadbury, the agency believes improvements in its quality standards for its creative work has fuelled the growth of Contract. Adds Mr Harris, "We have set quality standards for our agency and scored on the creativity front. It is the stamp of Contract which is there across all the creative work.'' Apart from its creative work, Contract has registered the highest growth for its one-to-one marketing division - I-Contract. The division has recorded a 40 per cent growth this year. Explaining the high growth for its one-to-one division, Mr Harris says, "It is no longer a 30-second market. Clients are looking for a holistic brand building approach and not just the traditional solutions. Operating on a smaller base the one-to-one division is bound to register high growth rates.'' I-Contract has been successful in bagging clients such as Plugin this year. Followed by I - Contract is Contract Health, which has recorded a 35 per cent growth rate this year. Contract Heath contributes 5 per cent of the agency's total billings turnover. With healthcare clients such as Himalaya, Dr Reddy's, Organon, Contract has been beefing up its healthcare portfolio as well. Mr Soumitra Sen, Vice-President, Contract Health, says, "Healthcare is a specialised service to a specialised industry. Today it is boom time for the healthcare industry.'' Contract Health was floated as a division nearly three years back and its small base has helped the division grow faster. With a staff strength of 15, Contract Health has employed health practitioners and medical advisors who can deliver on creating communication for the healthcare industry. "We have technocrats with a passion for adverting in our division,'' says Mr Sen.
