Film and cultural festival

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Department of Public Relations will organise a two-day screening of Malayalam films and cultural festival at Bhubaneshwar from January 7.

Announcing this here, an official spokesman said five films have been selected for screening at the festival. They are Nizhalkoothu, Paddham Onnu, Oru Vilapam, Anyar and Nandanam. Among the cultural programmes being presented would be traditional Keralite art and dance forms such as Mohiniyattom, Thiruvathira, Oppana, Kalaripayattu, Panchavadyam and Kerala Natanam.

Leading film personalities attending the festivities include Adoor Gopalakrishnan, T.V. Chandran, Lenin Rajendran, Renjith, Oduvil Unnikrishnan and Jyothirmayi.
