Tata Indicom launches services in Anekal

TATA Indicom, the Tata group's telecom access service, today launched its services comprising CDMA mobiles, fixed wireless and public telephones in Anekal.

"Our fixed wireless, which has the benefit of speedy installation and our CDMA mobile services at the lowest ever rates, has great appeal for residential and small business customers. In a short period of just one year, Tata Indicom has over 1,40,000 subscribers in Karnataka," Mr Prabhat Pani, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Teleservices, Karnataka, said.

Tata Indicom has already launched its services in Bangalore, Mangalore, Hubli, Mandya and Mysore. The rest of Karnataka will be covered in a phased manner.

Tata Teleservices offers integrated telecom solutions to its customers under the Tata Indicom brand and uses CDMA 3G1X technology for its wireless network. Currently operating in Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, the company has a customer base of over 1.3 million.

Tata Teleservices has applied for licenses for 11 more circles, which include Punjab, Haryana, UP (West), Kerala, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh (East).
