Dada-Dadi bonds for senior citizens

New Delhi , Jan. 9

AFTER the Varistha Pension Bima Yojana, the Government today announced another old-age income avenue for senior citizens - the Dada-Dadi bonds.

The new bonds would be open for subscription from April 1 only for persons above the age of 60 years. The Finance Minister, Mr Jaswant Singh, said that they would carry an interest rate higher than the market rate.
