THE President of Telugu Association of North America (TANA), Dr Navneeth Krishna, today said medical camps could be organised in Government Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with doctors of Indian origin working in the US.
TANA is working towards organising such healthcare camps, which are aimed to help the poor and needy get high quality medical benefits, he told newspersons at the newly launched Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
In this direction, TANA has held discussions with the State Government. However, a few technical issues had to be sorted out before it gets going as per the views expressed by the State Health Minister, Dr Krishna said.
Similarly, on the issue of the possibility of donation of latest medical equipment to Government hospitals in AP, TANA President said the State Government has not taken any decision on the operation and maintenance, though the NRI community was willing to come forward.
"If the Government or the NGO sector comes forward, then TANA was willing to take the issue forward," Dr Krishna said.
