Dhanalakshmi Bank launches bill payment facility

KOCHI: The Thrissur-based Dhanalakshmi Bank is introducing the facility of bill payments for essential services such as telephone, electricity, water supply, building tax, land tax, income tax etc, at its selected branches in the country.

With this step, the bank intends to widen its customer base while offering more services and thus to reach out to a larger section of the public, a press release issued here has said. The new services of Dhanalakshmi Bank will be available throughout Kerala: in its branches at Kannur, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.

The bill payment facility will be made available to the public at an optimum service charge. The concerned bill and the amount to be remitted have to be handed over at the bank counter at least two days before the last date recorded on the bill. Bills which have exceeded the due date will not be entertained. And no service charge will be levied for remittance of BSNL mobile phone bills, the release said.
