Software Office automation software launched Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Jan. 21 THE city-based Transversal e Networks (TeN) has launched an office automation software branded `Trans e 2.4'. Mr P.K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries and IT, unveiled the company's new offering. The product, which is a totally Web-based, offers a document management software, process automation and user collaboration function, all of which can be used to create a paperless office, said a company official. Besides, it has multiple modes of online communication between users and also supports several Indian languages, including Malayalam, he added. A demo version of the product is available on the company's Web site, www.transversalnet.com. While the Thiruvananthapuram city police has used some features of the product in its Web site, the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment will also base its office automation software on `Trans e 2.4', the executive said. The company, which is headquartered at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, has its origins in the work done by a group of students and faculty members of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
