Award for SBT house journal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Maithri, the house journal from State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has been adjudged the "best journal devoted to women" by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI).

Maithri came up trumps at the sixth all-India house journals and video/CD presentations held under the auspices of the PRSI at Hyderabad, the Public Relations department of SBT said here. The entry was open to private enterprises, government departments, public sector units, non-governmental organisations and other business and industrial houses from all over the country.

Jnanpith Award winner, Dr C. Narayana Reddy, noted Telugu poet, presented the awards at a function held in Hyderabad. Maithri was selected from among the 50 entries received. The award winning entry was a women's special issue dedicated to the memory of the late Kalpana Chawla.
