THE physical rubber rates remained static on Tuesday. According to sources, the market was quite inactive throughout the session in the absence of both buyers and sellers. The transactions were meagre amidst very low arrivals.

RSS 4 closed steady at Rs 55.75 a kg as on Monday. The TOCOM April features improved to 153.3 yen.

The rubber futures also showed a steady trend. The near month March delivery was quoted at Rs 56.00 (55.99), April delivery at Rs 57.60 (57.59), May delivery at Rs 59.72 (59.82) and June delivery at Rs 61.70 (61.72) per kg for RSS 4.
