CII's healthcare task force unveils Web site

THE Healthcare Task Force of CII (Karnataka) has launched a Web site that gives a comprehensive list and contact details of major healthcare services.

The Web site, www.healthbangalore.org, includes the details of healthcare services, 24/7 pharmacies, maternity homes, cardiac centres, emergency ambulance services and childcare among others, according to a CII release.

There is also information on hospitals and nursing homes, alternative medicine centres, lifestyle management and fitness centres, blood and eye banks, laboratory and diagnostic services.

CII said this was part of its `Healthy Bangalore' initiative, which aims to make Bangalore a preferred health destination in India. The Task Force chaired by Mr D.A. Prasanna, Executive Chairman, Manipal Education & Medical Group, is also working on a Bangalore Health Declaration and will identify an area that could be developed as a model health district.
