Promotions & Offers Team Samsung ropes in Irfan, Parthiv Our Bureau

New Delhi , April 24 SAMSUNG India Electronics, the title sponsor of the recently concluded Indo-Pak cricket series, on Saturday announced that it has added two more cricketers - Parthiv Patel and Irfan Khan - to its Team Samsung. The company on Saturday also felicitated the Indian team for winning both the one-day and the test series in Pakistan and rolled out a promotional scheme for consumers. Team Samsung, with the two new additions, now consists of a total of nine cricketers including Rahul Dravid, Virendra Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Zaheer Khan. The company is giving away gifts worth Rs 2 crore in its new promotional scheme called the Samsung Cup celebration, which is applicable on purchase of the company's products such as camcorders, and audio products. Samsung had spent about Rs 60 crore on the series including the sponsorship rights and related advertising initiatives. Meanwhile, Mr R. Zutshi, Director, Sales, Samsung India, said that the company had carried out an auction of Samsung Cup memorabilia with its trade partners and donated the proceeds of the auction to the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for the Disabled, as part of its ongoing social programme called Samsung DigitAll Hope.
