Toyota April sales up 75 pc

TOYOTA Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sales grew 75 per cent to 4,148 vehicles in April 2004 compared with the same period a year ago.

A press statement from Toyota said the company sold 3,333 Qualis in April 2004 compared with 1,720 units in the corresponding month last year, a growth of 94 per cent.

Corolla sold 745 units, posting a 30 per cent increase in sales.

Toyota added it sold 70 units of its luxury car Camry in April 2004.
