New Products & Services Corporate - Announcements LG Care enters FMCG market Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 6 LG Care on Thursday launched a range of premium products across eight key consumer categories, including toothpastes, shampoos, detergents, soaps and diapers. These products will be available in 200 product packs spread over the mentioned categories in various sizes, packs and variants. The company also announced its plans to launch cleaners, cosmetics and hairstyling products soon. The launches include LG toothpastes under the sub-brand `Cliden', which comes in three variants - Super Strong Teeth, Total Care and Ultra Whitening. LG shampoos come under the sub-brand `Double Rich' with variants 2-in-1 and 3-in-1, while LG detergents come under the sub-brand `Super-Enz' - an enzyme based detergent that is also environment-friendly. In the soaps category, two products were unveiled - LG `Cucumber' Natural soap with natural cucumber extract and `White' beauty soap. In the diapers category, the company launched LG `Maman' ultra slim diapers that are `hypoallergenic' and feature super absorbency, ergonomic design, soft inner cover and three dimensional anti-leakage technology. Speaking at the launch, Mr C.H. Kim, Vice-President, LG Household & Healthcare, said: "India is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia. The sheer size and potential of the market coupled with low penetration levels made it attractive for us to enter India." Mr B.K. Jung, General Manager (Overseas Sales), said: "We have spent close to a year in product-related research to customise the products to suit the Indian conditions and satisfy the needs of the Indian consumer."
