Off-shore Development Intransa launches India operations Our Bureau
Bangalore , May 12 INTRANSA Inc, a provider of internet protocol storage products, has announced the launch of full-scale operations in India on Wednesday. It has opened a liaison office in Bangalore to oversee sales, marketing and customer support activities; and set up a development centre in Pune. "Intransa will deliver simple, intelligent, scalable and easily affordable IP-SAN (storage area network) solutions to the Indian markets, through its network of system integrators and partners," said Mr Avi Katz, President and CEO. The company has tied up with SES Technologies as distributor and Tata Elxsi as system integrator for its products. Mr Udi Paret, Vice-President, Global Operations, Intransa Inc, said the company planned to invest about $1 million in the Indian development centre, which plans to hire some 20 engineers this year.
