Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Matsya Thozhilali Federation, a wing of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), has urged the State Government to extend the period of the monsoon-time ban on trawling in the seas off Kerala from 45 days to 90 days.

In a statement here, Mr P. Raju, President, said the Working Committee of the Federation had decided to picket the office of the Marine Products Export Development Agency (MPEDA) in Kochi on July 1 to press the demands of fish workers.
