Home loans for Kerala civic staff

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Employees of municipalities in the State would henceforth get housing loans under concessional interest rates on the lines of those sanctioned to employees in Government services, according to the Minister for Local Administration, Mr Cherkalam Abdullah.

He told newspersons that the Kerala Urban Development Corporation would implement this scheme with the assistance of the State Bank of India (SBI). Up to 60 times the basic salary of an employee would be given as housing loan under this scheme.
