Escotel merged with IDEA

KOCHI: IDEA Cellular Ltd has announced the completion of the integration plan of Escotel into IDEA after the former was acquired in January, according to a press release here.

Mr Vikram Mehmi, CEO, IDEA Cellular Ltd, said that Escotel subscriber would now become a part of the IDEA advantage and experience the best mobility services that were offered to millions of subscribers.

With the completion of the migration process in UP (West), Haryana and Kerala, over one million subscribers of Escotel would enjoy high quality mobile service of IDEA using Nokia/Telecordia IN Prepaid system and business support and control system (BSCS) post-paid billing system. IDEA has already expanded the capacity of IN Prepaid System and the Delhi circle IN system would be extended to Haryana and UP (West), while Kerala circle would also get this IN prepaid facility, he said.
