Karnataka Bank adopts Finacle in 222 branches

KARNATAKA Bank Ltd has adopted the core banking solution — `Finacle' — in 222 branches in 15 States and two Union Territories, according to the Chairman and CEO of the bank, Mr Ananthakrishna.

The bank has plans to open 20 fully networked branches in select metro and urban centres, he said.

A bank release said here on Thursday that he was speaking at a function to inaugurate the new premises of Mangalore-Bunder branch recently.

Mr Ananthakrishna said that it is necessary to keep pace with the change in the competitive world by improving tools and techniques.

Mr B. Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, Chairman of B.A.Group, Tumbe, inaugurated the new premises.

Dr M. Shantharam Shetty, Chairman of Thejaswini Hospital, Kadri, Mangalore, launched the implementation of Finacle at the branch. Mr Raghavendra Shastry, Managing Trustee of Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, was present.
