Shetty on LIC board

Kolkata , June 3

MR V.P. Shetty, CMD of UCO Bank, has been appointed Director on the board of Life Insurance Corporation of India.

According to a Finance Ministry circular, the appointment, which takes effect immediately, will be valid for two years or till he holds the present position whichever is earlier.

Mr Shetty was earlier on the board of National Insurance Company.
