Announcements Jindal Stainless bags French mint order Our Bureau
New Delhi , June 4 JINDAL Stainless Ltd (JSL) has bagged an order for supplying 200 million pieces of steel coin blanks valued at 1.6 million euros from Monnaie De Paris (The French Mint). The company is also in the process of signing a supplier agreement with the Royal Thai Mint of Thailand. Mr R.K. Goyal, Executive Vice-President of JSL, said that though the contract itself is not something very big, it will give us a very good brand that will give us mileage in the future. It is also in the final stages of signing an agreement with Singapore Mintfor supplying coin blanks of stainless steel, cupro-nickel and other materials. The Singapore Mint makes coins for countries such as Malayasia, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. JSL supplies coin blanks of denomination of 25 paise, 50 paise and one rupee to Government of India Mints. The company has an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes of coin blanks.
