Our Bureau

Mumbai , June 4

THE Bank of Rajasthan Ltd (BoR) has secured the licence for franking stamps through its various branches in the State. The licence has been received from the Inspector General of Registration & Controller of Stamps and Chief Controlling Revenue Authority, Government of Maharashtra.

The bank through its 16 branches spread over Mumbai, Kalyan, Thane, Pune, Nagpur and other places in Maharashtra will provide this facility.

This move will help the bank to increase its fee-based income.

``The initiative reinforces our credit worthiness and makes us the first bank in Maharashtra to sell Government stamps through franking in all our branches in the State. It will not only help us to increase our fee-based income in the competitive environment but will also add an important product in our shelf,'' a press release said quoting Mr Pravid Kumar Tayal, Chairman, BoR.
