Oracle system upgraded

HYDERABAD: Oracle Corporation has announced that it has expanded the functionality of the Oracle Student System, a component of Oracle E-Business Suite, designed to manage the full cycle of the higher education environment.

With this release, this system contains more than 70 new features to help institutions expand student services, reduce operational costs and comply with increasingly complex regulatory and security environments.

According to Oracle, the new release helps institutions streamline student, faculty and staff access to appropriate information, expand instant transactional capabilities and enhances communication with existing and prospective students.

The Executive Director of Oracle Student System Implementation at State Buffalo College, Dr Sharon Cramer, in a statement said "we place a priority on using the only student system software written for the Web to gain the flexibility needed to retain and serve students.
