TOURISM Malaysia and Myanmar Airways have decided to extend the six-day five-night package covering Yangon and Malaysia till the end of September this year.
The six-day five-night package, which costs Rs 19,999 per person, was earlier supposed to end on July 31 this year. The two organisations have also decided to organise road shows in various towns in north India, including Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Shimla and Jaipur, to popularise the package.
The cost of the package includes not only travel to Yangon and Kuala Lumpur on Myanmar Airways but also a two-night stay each in Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highland and a one-day stay in Myanmar.
Myanmar Airways, which launched flights to India earlier this year, operates three times a week on the Yangon-Delhi-Yangon sector.
Meanwhile, Tourism Malaysia also announced a 12 per cent increase in arrivals from India during the first quarter of this year over the same period in the previous year.
