Canara Bank cancels EGM

CANARA Bank has cancelled its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) slated for June 21.

According to a bank release, the meeting was cancelled since all the four directors have been appointed.

The meeting was called to elect four directors from among the shareholders after an initial public offer by the bank. Accordingly, Canara Bank had convened an EGM June 21 for the election of shareholder directors. The release said that out of all nominations received, only four were found valid. These four nominees were deemed to be elected as directors.
