New Projects Industry & Economy - Real Estate & Construction Raheja arm sets up shop in Chennai Our Bureau
Chennai , June 23 RMZ Corp, a part of the Raheja Group, which has operations in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune, has entered the Chennai market with two customised buildings for IT and information technology enabled services. Mr Christopher de Costa, Executive Manager, Media and Public Relations, RMZ Corp, said that the company was developing six lakh sq. ft. building at Taramani and another four lakh sq. ft. on the Old Mahabalipuram Road. He said that the company in the last two years had developed more than 18 lakh sq. ft. in the other three cities. The company selects the site, architectural design, and handles all other details such as purchase, operations and finance. The space is mainly leased out to clients who are offered three options to choose from. The first is the bare shell, then the warm shell that has air-conditioning, power back up and false ceilings. The third option is the fully fitted out space. In Bangalore, the company has developed Futura I and II, which is leased to HSBC and Accenture India Pvt. Ltd, and the Ecozen, which is leased to Hughes Software Systems Ltd.
