New Projects Agri-Biz & Commodities - Coffee Continental Coffee to set up freeze-dried plant in Guntur Our Bureau
Hyderabad , June 24 CONTINENTAL Coffee Products (India) Ltd will set up a freeze-dried coffee plant at Duggirala in Guntur district at a cost of Rs 125 crore. Mr C. Rajendra Prasad, Managing Director of the company, who led a delegation from Denmark and the UK, told the Chief Minister, Mr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, that the freeze-dried plant was the first of its kind in the country. He said the company would invest Rs 75 crore in the first phase, according to a Government release. "The freeze-dried coffee is a premium product targeted at niche clients," Mr Rajendra Prasad said. The delegation included representatives from Strategic Soluble Services Ltd (UK) and Niro of Denmark. Meanwhile, a Malaysian delegation also met the Chief Minister to brief him about the proposed integrated township project. The project was being taken up in association with the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board at Maisaram mandal in the neighbouring district. The delegation urged the Chief Minister to clear the Rs 250-crore project as early as possible so that the construction could be taken up.
