Rubber prices remain static

AMIDST moderate rains in the plantation areas, the domestic spot rubber prices were almost static on Friday. Buyers absorbed the narrow arrivals but were not prepared to enhance the quotations.

The futures market followed the steady trend except for its August delivery, which was quoted slightly higher at Rs 65.75 (65.58) a kg. The September delivery was quoted at Rs 62.05 (62.06) and October delivery at Rs 59.15 (59.16) per kg for RSS 4.

The Friday spot market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 67.50 (67.50); RSS 5 65 (65); ungraded 62 (62); ISNR 20 59 (59); & latex 60 per cent 48.50 (49.50).
