Kamal Nath assures to help tea industry

NEW DELHI: The Government is keen to resolve the problems that are being faced by the tea industry. The Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, gave an indication to this effect during a presentation on the tea industry by the Tea Board Chairman, Mr N.K. Das, here early this week.

The Minister also expressed concern over the declining share of Indian tea in the world markets over the last decade and held that this negative trend must be reversed.
