Taxation Industry & Economy - Economic Offences Chidambaram hints at harsh measures against tax evaders Our Bureau

Chidambaram, on Wednesday made it very clear that the Government will have no alternative but be harsh with those taxpayers who do not voluntarily own up what is due to the Central Exchequer. "We would like to collect taxes like a bee collects honey from a flower. But if the flower does not yield honey, there will be the sting of the bee," he said.
