Crisil net up 6.7 pc

CRISIL Ltd has reported a 6.7 per cent increase in net profit, year-on-year, at Rs 3.89 crore, for the quarter ended March 31, 2004.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 3.65 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Total income during the quarter rose 17 per cent, to Rs 18.62 crore (Rs 15.88 crore); while total expenditure rose 26 per cent to Rs 11.01 crore (Rs 8.74 crore). Profit before depreciation and taxation stood at Rs 7.6 crore, showing an increase of 6 per cent.

The consolidated revenues of the group for the quarter amounted to Rs 25.29 crore, showing a growth of 48 per cent. For the year ended March 31, 2004, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 17.94 crore and total income of Rs 73.36 crore.
