SEBI sets new format for info on fund houses

Mumbai , July 28

THE Securities and Exchange Board of India has stipulated the format in which key information memorandum of mutual funds should be filed.

Information about fund houses including asset allocation between debt and equity, dividend policy, names of fund managers, options under each plan must now be filed with the regulator in the new format, according to a SEBI circular.

This information will be updated on a yearly basis by April 30. Fund houses are required to switch to this system by September 30, 2004, says the circular.
