Idea subscriber base increases in Kerala

KOCHI: Idea Cellular, one of the leading cellular operators in the country, has touched a subscriber base of half a million in its recently acquired Escotel circle, Kerala.

Idea has achieved this unique distinction in the State through increased subscriptions, in both the pre-paid and post-paid segments. "In a four player GSM market it is indeed a landmark for us to have achieved a subscriber base of 5 lakhs with a 32 per cent market share. Idea always has a customer centric approach in its tariffs and consistently provided innovative value-added services to its customers," said Mr Vikram Mehmi, CEO, Idea Cellular.

Idea Cellular in Kerala also boasts of a well-entrenched network with over 10,000 dealers and retailers, over 50 Idea `n' U outlets and 3000 POP retail outlets etc.
