Co-operatives Money & Banking - Non-Performing Assets Farmers won't be arrested in loan recovery: Chautala Rajesh Ahuja
Chandigarh , Aug. 20 THE Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Om Prakash Chautala, has announced that no farmer would be arrested for effecting recovery of outstanding co-operative loans including the loans obtained from the Haryana State Co-operative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank. Mr Chautala said this was decided in view of the hardships faced by the farmers, due to the drought in the entire State and the subsequent flash floods in parts of the State. Mr Chautala announced this after presiding over the Teej Utsav at Hisar on Thursday evening. This is the first time that the Teej celebrations have been held outside Chandigarh.
