Prudential ICICI launches Emerging Star Fund

PRUDENTIAL ICICI Asset Management Company launched its Emerging Star Fund. This is an open ended equity fund that would invest in mid-cap stocks.

The objective of the fund is to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in a well-diversified portfolio of mid-cap stocks, according to a company press release.

Major part of the portfolio will be invested in stocks having market capitalisation between Rs 100 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

The initial public offering of the fund is open on September 6 and closes on September 25.

The fund is targeted at long term investors who are looking to diversify their overall investment portfolio as well as assume a higher level of risk for increased potential returns, said the release.

The offer price of the fund is Rs 10 per unit during the initial public offer.
